Job summary

BaptistCare Niola is seeking a Casual Cleaning Assistant to support our aged care residents in Parkes, NSW. The role covers cleaning, kitchen and laundry duties across a range of shifts to meet resident needs.

You'll follow our cleaning policies, maintain high hygiene standards and bring experience from kitchen/servery roles and WHS awareness. Desirable: prior aged care experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to clean resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Follow cleaning policy, schedule and complete required documentation.
• Launder clothes and linen to a high standard using correct wash cycles.
• Kitchen/servery experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.
• Aged care experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean general accommodation, residents rooms, bathrooms and living areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of staff areas and common spaces.
• Assist with kitchen/servery duties as required.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and documentation.

About the Role:

BaptistCare Niola is seeking a Cleaning Assistant on a Casual basis. The role will consist of cleaning, kitchen and laundry shifts to cater to our residents needs.

About You:

• Ability to perform under limited supervision the following duties including but not limited to cleaning of general accommodation (residents rooms), bathrooms, living/communal areas and other general/staff areas
• Ability to follow cleaning policy, schedule and completing relevant documentation as required
• Experience in ensuring residents’ clothes and linen are laundered correctly and to the highest standard through sorting of linen and use of correct wash cycle while maintaining cleanliness of equipment and laundry areas
• Previous kitchen/servery experience in a similar role
• Understanding of work health and safety practices
• Previous experience in aged care (desirable)

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $27.77 - $31.36/hr + superannuation + casual loading + salary packaging.
