Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Manager, Environmental and Sustainability to guide environmental and sustainability activities on a regional project in Australia. You will set strategic direction for environmental protection, sustainability performance, climate and resource management, and regulatory compliance through design, construction, commissioning and handover, working with cross-functional teams.

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering.
• Experience managing environmental/sustainability on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of approvals, EPRs and legislation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project.
• Set governance for environmental and sustainability management to Builder PSDR.
• Ensure compliance with approvals, EPRs and legislation.
• Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub-plans.
• Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on performance, targets and KPIs.
• Manage environmental and sustainability risk, incidents and audits.

About Opportunity

As Manager, Environmental and Sustainability, you'll guide all environmental and sustainability activities on a regional project, reporting to the Project Director. You'll set the strategic direction for environmental protection, sustainability performance, climate and resource management, and regulatory compliance through design, construction, commissioning and handover, working closely with construction, engineering, procurement, land access and stakeholder teams.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project
• Set governance for environmental and sustainability management to Builder PSDR
• Ensure compliance with approvals, EPRs and legislation
• Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub-plans
• Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives
• Monitor and report on performance, targets and KPIs
• Manage environmental and sustainability risk, incidents and audits
