Job summary

ACCIONA in Melbourne is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead all environmental and sustainability activities on a regional project, reporting to the Project Director.

You will set the strategic direction for environmental protection, climate and resource management, and regulatory compliance through design, construction, commissioning and handover, working closely with construction, engineering, procurement, land access and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering.
• Experience managing environmental/sustainability on major projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project.
• Set governance for environmental and sustainability management to Builder PSDR.
• Ensure compliance with approvals, EPRs and legislation.
• Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub-plans.
• Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on performance, targets and KPIs.
• Manage environmental and sustainability risk, incidents and audits.
