Brisbane City Council is seeking a qualified environmental professional to support the assessment of environmental licence and permit applications, applying relevant legislation and policies to deliver balanced environmental and community outcomes.

You will work with diverse stakeholders to resolve environmental matters, prepare reports, and improve permitting processes while contributing to high-quality environmental services within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental legislation, policies and planning principles related to biodiversity protection, vegetation and natural asset management.
• Experience applying ecological and environmental management principles in a regulatory context.
• Strong written, verbal and customer service skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to assess licences and permits within a legislative/regulatory framework.
