Job summary

Anglo American is recruiting an Environmental Officer for Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah, QLD. The role supports all environmental functions for the underground coal mine and aims to drive environmental performance and compliance with EMS and regulatory requirements.

You will work with the Environment team and Operations to deliver environmental targets, develop plans, monitor programs, and produce reports while ensuring high awareness and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Ter tiary qualifications in an environmental discipline or related degree.
• Experience with coal mining environmental issues is highly regarded.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Environmental team to deliver targets safely and in line with the Annual Mine Plan.
• Monitor, analyse and report programs for land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water and waste.
• Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans to improve site performance.
• Provide EMS advice and educate staff on compliance and guidelines.
• Manage on-site monitoring and licensing compliance, and review EMS.
• Produce timely reports and statutory documentation; support regulatory reporting.
• Support contractors and projects related to Environmental works.
