Job summary

Multi Asset Australian Based Mining Operator in Melbourne, VIC, is seeking an Environment & Community Superintendent (Mining) to lead environmental compliance, drive sustainability initiatives and steer community relations across the operation. The role reports to the HSEC Manager and manages a team of advisors to ensure regulatory alignment and community trust.

The role requires tertiary environmental qualifications, senior leadership within mining environmental programs, and strong regulatory

Qualifications

Senior leadership experience in environmental management within mining or resources.
Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to engage regulators, auditors and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead site environmental management programs, including monitoring, rehabilitation, and reporting.
Manage community engagement, stakeholder liaison, events and sponsorships.
Ensure compliance with environmental approvals, sustainability commitments and community obligations.
Prepare and present reports to regulators, auditors and internal leadership.
Lead, coach and mentor Environmental and Community Advisors.
Promote a sustainability and environmental stewardship culture at the site.
Coordinate and lead community activities, meetings and complaint handling.
