Job summary

Shell Australia is seeking an Environmental Lead to join the West Safety & Environment Leadership Team, guiding a group of environmental professionals across Prelude FLNG and Crux assets. You will provide environmental leadership, strategic direction, and ensure environmental risks are managed and embedded into planning and operations.

You will work closely with Operations, HSSE, and project teams to champion environmental excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement, while developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science or Engineering.
• Experience leading and developing teams in complex operations.
• Commitment to Goal Zero and environmental stewardship.
• Extensive experience managing environmental aspects and risks in industrial/offshore sectors.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks, approvals, and EMS.
• Understanding of air quality, carbon/GHG, water, waste and biodiversity.
• Ability to translate environmental requirements into practical operations.
• Strong risk management balancing compliance and business performance.
• Knowledge of Australian/international environmental laws, offshore.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of environmental professionals across Prelude and Crux projects.
• Maintain Environmental Plans and manage regulatory approvals and submissions.
• Identify and manage environmental risks with effective mitigations.
• Lead environmental assurance and drive continuous improvement.
• Engage regulators and stakeholders to advocate environmental considerations.
