Job summary

Argo Coal Management Pty Ltd is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to drive high standards of environmental performance at the Bord and Pillar underground operation near Moranbah. You will identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead the implementation of EMS and improvement initiatives.

You will manage environmental programs, coordinate reporting, audits, and training, while working with site teams and contractors to deliver safe, compliant outcomes and continuous performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Recent coal mining experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing environmental incidents, reporting and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Drive site environmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Identify environmental risks and ensure effective control measures.
• Ensure timely completion of internal and external reporting.
• Monitor compliance and lead preventative and corrective actions.
• Conduct incident investigations and support external reviews.
• Manage environmental contractors, consultants, and budgets.
• Deliver environmental training and awareness programs.
• Participate in audits, reviews and assurance activities.
