Job summary

Interflow is seeking an Environment Coordinator to support delivery of construction projects with practical environmental guidance and coordination across the business. You will work with operational teams and the SSQ group to ensure compliance with legislation and environmental commitments, while helping to uplift environmental performance.

You will contribute to planning, site inspections, reporting, and continuous improvement, and help build environmental awareness across the organisation in

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Management (or related discipline).
• Two years experience in environmental coordination or similar role.
• Exposure to construction, civil infrastructure or utilities projects.
• Sound understanding of environmental legislation and management practices.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an Environment Coordinator to support the delivery of our construction projects by providing practical environmental advice, guidance and coordination across the business. Working closely with operational teams and our Safety, Sustainability and Quality (SSQ) team, you'll help ensure projects meet legislative requirements, environmental and sustainability commitments and our high standards of environmental performance.

In this varied role you'll support environmental and sustainability planning, undertake site inspections and audits, coordinate environmental and sustainability reporting and contribute to continuous improvement. You'll also play a key part in building environmental awareness across the business, helping to protect the communities and environments in which we work while supporting the successful delivery of essential infrastructure projects.

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Two years experience in an environmental coordination or similar role
• Exposure to construction, civil infrastructure or utilities projects
• Sound understanding of environmental legislation, compliance and environmental management practices
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
