Job summary

Interflow in Melbourne is seeking motivated field crew members to join our permanent full-time team. You will operate state-of-the-art plant and equipment for pipeline renewal, perform general labouring, and support civils work around Manholes and pits.

Ideal candidates bring an MR or HR licence, ability to work around live assets, and a safety-first attitude. You will undergo pre-employment medical and site-specific training, with access to ongoing development and industry-standard tickets.

Qualifications

• Valid MR or HR licence.
• Experience excavating around live assets.
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White card).
• Telehandler ticket (Gold card).
• Have the ability to work on sites across South East Melbourne.
• Good work ethic and positive attitude; team player.
• A strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate state-of-the-art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management).
• General labouring including site preparation and onsite support.
• Associate civils including Manhole/Pit alteration with rehabilitation.
• Operate excavators ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonnes.
• Excavate around water, gas or electrical assets.

The Opportunity

Due to ongoing business growth, we have an opportunity for new team members to join our field crews. This position is permanent full-time offering a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime. Given our vast range of services, there is plenty of variety with the roles and responsibility which include (but not limited to):

• Operating state-of-the-art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management)
• General labouring including site preparation and onsite support
• Associate civils including Manhole/Pit alteration with rehabilitation
• Operation of excavators ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonne
• Excavating around water, gas or electrical assets

Your background may be from one of the following:

• Pipe maintenance experience such as reactive water main maintenance, plumbing, gas main and water main renewals
• NBN or electrical industries where you have excavated around live assets
• Or you might want to break into the industry, if so we'd like to hear from you!

Key Selection Criteria

• Valid MR or HR licence
• Experience excavating around live assets
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
• Telehandler ticket (Gold card)
• Have the ability to work on sites across South East Melbourne
• Good work ethic and positive work attitude with the ability to work in a team
• A strong focus on safety
• Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences are desirable but not essential

To make sure that you’re fully fit to join our team you will be subject to apre-employment medical (including a drug & alcohol test) and acriminal history check. Please be aware that these roles may require you to enter confined spaces, successful candidates will be provided with certified confined spaces training if required.
