Job summary

Ferrovial Construction US Corp. seeks an Environmental Compliance Project Director to lead environmental aspects for a major highway project.

You will manage water/air quality, habitat protection, and permit strategies from bidding to delivery, ensuring compliance with environmental approvals. The role requires a degree in Environmental Science, at least five years in highway infrastructure, and strong communication and leadership capabilities to coordinate with the Owner and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of highway transportation infrastructure experience as an Environmental Compliance Lead or equivalent.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, 401/404 permits, and related environmental approvals preferred.
• Certifications in OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, and state/local environmental certifications preferred.
• Experience with ISO 14001 auditing/management and environmental site assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance for a major highway project from bidding through delivery.
• Manage water quality, air quality, and habitat protection within the project.
• Prepare technical documents for environmental approvals and permits.
• Develop and manage SWPPP and Environmental Protection Plan.
• Coordinate with Owner and agencies on environmental permits and NEPA-related processes.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure environmental considerations are integrated.
