Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to support Heathrow capital works and asset renewal projects. You will lead environmental, carbon and sustainability activities across airside and landside works, ensuring compliance with Ferrovial procedures and Heathrow requirements.

The role requires strong knowledge of ISO 14001/50001, PAS 2080, and collaboration with project teams, procurement and regulators to embed sustainable practices from design

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an environmental and sustainability management role within construction, infrastructure or major project delivery.
• Strong working knowledge of UK environmental legislation and environmental management systems.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 requirements.
• Knowledge of PAS 2080, carbon management and carbon reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and sustainability management across Heathrow projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and UK legislation.
• Develop, maintain and implement Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and Biodiversity Plans.
• Embed carbon reduction, resource efficiency, responsible procurement and environmental protection into design and construction activities.
• Provide leadership and technical support to project managers, construction teams, designers, engineers, procurement and subcontractors on environmental matters.
• Manage environmental permits, licences, consents and approvals with Heathrow and regulators.
• Monitor environmental KPIs such as waste diversion, carbon emissions, energy use and water management.
• Lead reporting of environmental, carbon and sustainability data to Heathrow and senior management.
