Job summary

Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure, in collaboration with partner teams, seeks an Environmental Advisor to support the West Region Delivery Team for Sydney Water projects. You will provide environmental advice, identify risks, implement controls and help ensure compliance across active construction sites.

You will work with operational and project teams, regulators and clients to drive environmental performance and continuous improvement through inspections, reporting and training.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science/Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as Environmental Advisor in civil infrastructure.
• Experience on linear infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, roads, rail, utilities).
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and EMS.
• Experience with erosion and sediment control planning and monitoring.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day environmental support to project teams.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Monitor compliance with management plans, approvals and permits.
• Support erosion and sediment control implementation.
• Prepare environmental reports and project documentation.
• Deliver environmental awareness training to personnel and subcontractors.
• Liaise with regulators and clients on environmental matters.
• Support continuous improvement of environmental processes and systems.
