Job summary

Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the West Region Delivery Team on Sydney Water projects. You will provide environmental guidance, manage risks, and ensure compliance across construction sites, coordinating with project teams and regulators as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and at least 3 years' experience in civil infrastructure environments, with strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in civil infrastructure construction.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day environmental support and guidance to project delivery teams.
• Conducting environmental inspections, audits and compliance assessments across construction sites.
• Monitoring and reporting on compliance with environmental management plans, approvals, permits and legislative requirements.
• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of erosion and sediment controls.
• Assisting with environmental risk assessments and opportunities to improve environmental performance.
• Investigating environmental incidents, non-conformances and complaints, and supporting corrective actions.
• Preparing environmental reports, monitoring records and project compliance documentation.
• Delivering environmental awareness training and guidance to project personnel and subcontractors.
• Liaising with clients, regulators and key stakeholders on environmental matters.
• Supporting the development and continuous improvement of environmental management processes and systems.
