Job summary

CPB Contractors in Brisbane is seeking an Environmental Advisor to lead the on-site environmental aspects for the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. You will plan, implement and monitor environmental controls, coordinate with design and construction teams, and ensure compliance with EMS and standards.

This role requires at least five years' civil construction experience, strong communication, and a proactive, zero-harm mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ equivalent experience in a similar civil construction role.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced project environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop and carry out varied environmental monitoring regimes per standards.
• Advanced erosion and sediment control experience or equivalent.
• Accountability for personal development and performance within the project team.
• Proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Lateral thinker who can critically interrogate information.
• Commitment to a zero harm environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on-site environmental management, including field testing, site inspections and monitoring.
• Implement on-site environmental controls across erosion, noise, air quality and heritage aspects.
• Support applications for secondary planning approvals with design and construction teams.
• Lead internal EMS audits and maintain Environmental Management Plans and documents.
