Job summary

CPB Contractors, part of the CIMIC Group, is delivering the Faster Rail project in Queensland. The Sustainability Advisor will support tender and delivery phases by embedding sustainable design and tracking performance against ISC rating.

You’ll work with design, procurement and construction teams to identify opportunities, educate project teams, and monitor metrics. A degree in engineering or environmental science with at least 3 years experience is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in engineering or environmental science and at least 3 years professional experience in sustainability management.
• Strong understanding of environment and sustainability legislation, policy, guidelines and rating frameworks including ISC Rating Scheme.
• Ability to influence people, nurture relationships and upskill non-subject matter experts and peers.
• Practical experience in delivering design and as built ratings; employment history with major construction projects is preferred.
• Innovation, enthusiasm and lateral thinking.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes in both construction and operation.
• Engage and educate project teams on sustainable design and construction practices and principles.
• Identification, implementation and monitoring of sustainability in design principles across key design milestones on the project.
• Reporting on sustainability performance, including tracking metrics against the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating tool.
• Working in collaboration with the design, procurement and construction teams and disciplines to embed sustainability into project delivery.
• Investigating alternatives and innovations to drive sustainability outcomes on projects.
