Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to support the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, reporting to the Sustainability Lead. The role focuses on improving sustainability outcomes across tender and delivery phases and embedding sustainable design and construction practices.

You will engage project teams, monitor IS Rating performance, and collaborate with design, procurement and construction disciplines to drive sustainable delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in engineering or environmental science and at least 3 years professional experience in sustainability management.
• Strong understanding of environment and sustainability legislation, policy, guidelines and rating frameworks including ISC Rating Scheme.
• Ability to influence people, nurture relationships and upskill non-subject matter experts and peers.
• Practical experience delivering design and as-built ratings; major construction project history preferred.
• Innovation, enthusiasm and lateral thinking.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes in both construction and operation.
• Engage and educate project teams on sustainable design and construction practices and principles.
• Identification, implementation and monitoring of sustainability in design principles across key design milestones on the project.
• Reporting on sustainability performance, including tracking metrics against the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating tool.
• Working in collaboration with design, procurement and construction teams to embed sustainability into project delivery.
• Investigating alternatives and innovations to drive sustainability outcomes on projects.
