Job summary

Glencore Coal Assets Australia seeks an Environment and Community Coordinator to support environmental and stakeholder engagement across exploration, approvals and project delivery. The role covers environmental studies, approvals, compliance and community liaison for the Ulan Complex and Hunter Valley.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate landholder access, manage consultants, liaise with regulators and coordinate monitoring, reporting and risk management, with travel to sites

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience in environmental/community management in mining or related industries.
• Experience supporting environmental approvals, technical studies and project delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community liaison and stakeholder engagement across exploration programs and approvals.
• Support preparation and management of environmental approvals, impact assessments and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, inspections, audits and reporting.
• Manage consultants and contractors for environmental, community and studies.
• Develop relationships with regulators, landholders and site personnel.
