Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer for Application Services/Performance in Sydney. You will work with top-tier customers to deploy and operate Cloudflare’s App Services with confidence.

You’ll diagnose DNS, TLS, and network issues, collaborate with Engineering, and contribute to knowledge bases. A 4+ year background in global CDN support, strong scripting skills, and Unix/Linux fluency are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer for globally distributed reverse-proxy CDN platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts for customers.
Experience with DNS, HTTP/S, IAM, Load Balancing, Caching, CORS and edge delivery services.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical advisor for Enterprise customers on Application Services/Performance.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to DNS, HTTP Errors, TLS, caching, and networking.
Collaborate with Engineering to remediate issues and document fixes.
Create knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
Utilize command line tools (dig/traceroute/curl/tcpdump) and scripting to resolve problems.
Maintain and improve web server configurations (Apache, Nginx, IIS).
