Job summary

Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is seeking a Quality Practice Manager to establish and lead the enterprise Quality Engineering Practice, embedding quality into technology delivery and operations.

You will shape TAC's approach to quality engineering, set standards, and provide assurance across major initiatives, including the Claims Platform transformation, fostering a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading quality assurance, testing or quality engineering practices within complex technology environments, ideally at an enterprise level.
• Proven ability to establish quality strategies, governance and assurance processes that improve technology delivery confidence.
• Strong understanding of modern quality engineering approaches, including automation and continuous testing.
• Experience providing independent assurance across large-scale technology transformation programs, including working with external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead TAC's enterprise Quality Engineering Practice, developing quality strategies, frameworks, standards and governance approaches.
• Drive adoption of modern quality engineering practices, including test automation, risk-based testing, continuous validation and DevOps-aligned approaches.
• Provide quality assurance across strategic technology initiatives, assessing delivery risks and readiness to support informed decisions.
• Lead quality oversight for the Claims Platform transformation, ensuring quality outcomes are evidenced and supported by delivery teams and vendors.
• Build organisational quality capability through coaching and communities of practice.
• Establish meaningful quality metrics and reporting with technology and cyber security teams to strengthen delivery confidence and risk management.
