Job summary

Airwallex in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales for strategic enterprise clients and translate complex requirements into scalable payment architectures. You will guide customers through integration and deployment, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will own executive engagements, design compliant solutions, and ensure successful outcomes across sales and delivery while travel of up to 10% for customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as solution consultant or solutions architect.
• Executive engagement skills and presence with ability to build credibility at all levels.
• Ability to design scalable architectures and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Strong organizational/time management and ability to juggle multiple opportunities.
• Knowledge of at least one major programming language (PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Drive thought leadership and build executive relationships with key business and technical stakeholders.
• Own pre-sales activities for strategic customers from technical perspectives, owning RFPs and developing proofs of concept.
• Work with account executives to design solutions that solve critical business challenges for our clients.
• Act as the voice of the customer to inform product teams on insights and gaps.
• Oversee end-to-end implementation delivery for strategic accounts and ensure seamless integration.
• Approximately 10% travel is anticipated, especially for in-person meetings.
