Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Solutions Architect within the Solutions Engineering team. You will lead pre-sales discovery, translate complex requirements into scalable architectural designs, and guide customers in unlocking the full value of Airwallex’s technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with strong academic achievements.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role within a global software enterprise or payments company.
• Executive engagement skills and presence with key decision makers.
• Strong organizational/time management skills and ability to juggle competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, able to work with customers, partners, and engineering teams.
• Understand at least one major programming language (PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive thought leadership and build executive relationships with key business and technical stakeholders.
• Own pre-sales activities for strategic customers, including RFPs and proofs of concepts.
• Work with account executives to design solutions that solve critical business challenges across pre-sales, solution design, and implementation.
• Act as the voice of the customer to inform the product team on insights, product gaps, and opportunities.
• Oversee end-to-end implementation delivery for strategic accounts, ensuring integration follows best practice guidelines.
• Approximately 10% travel is anticipated, especially for in-person meetings.
