Job summary

IRO, a member of the Rio Tinto group, seeks an accomplished IT leader to oversee the enterprise IT function. Responsible for strategy, governance, and the delivery of SAP/ERP and networking solutions across multiple sites.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and project management skills to support safe, efficient operations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in IT or related field, experience in a multi-site resources environment, and a track record of driving cost-effective IT

Qualifications

Essential is a tertiary level qualification in Information Technology or equivalent at degree level.
Experience in a multi-platform IT environment at a senior managerial level.
Knowledge of SAP, general networking and communication technologies is required.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and coordination of IT functions across the organisation.
Develop and direct strategic IT plans to support operations and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement of systems and services; optimise cost effectiveness.
Lead infrastructure and ERP initiatives, ensuring robust platforms and DR readiness.
Manage Enterprise ERP and infrastructure teams to align with company needs.
Maintain strict cost management and review vendor agreements for value.
