Job summary

Western District Health Service is recruiting Enrolled Nurses for Casterton Memorial Hospital in rural Victoria. The role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a dementia-friendly aged care setting, working closely with Registered Nurses and a multidisciplinary team.

Relocation support including short-term shared accommodation is available; salary is hourly with superannuation and salary packaging.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing
• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
• Experience in aged care desirable
• Experience supporting people living with dementia desirable
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Sound clinical judgement and attention to detail
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Understanding of professional standards, legislation and safe work practices
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Rights to work in Australia

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care
• Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care
• Recognise and respond to changes in residents' health, behaviour and wellbeing
• Work with residents, families and carers to support open communication and shared decision-making
• Contribute to a positive team culture with nursing, allied health and support staff
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to quality and accreditation activities
