Job summary

Uniting AgeWell Limited is seeking an Enrolled Nurse (Med Endorsed) for Permanent Part Time shifts (Sun, Mon, Tue 14:45–22:00) and Casuals across Box Hill and surrounding locations in Victoria. You will provide leadership to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses to deliver resident-centered care in a safe, respectful environment.

Essential registration with AHPRA (Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse), minimum 2 years in aged care, and experience with dementia and palliative care are

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Enrolled Nurse in residential aged care (must have)
• Demonstrated experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Excellence in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills
• Team-oriented with one-to-one interactions with care partners
• Committed to BEST values-based culture

About the role

We have aPermanent Part Time roster available forSun, Mon & Tue (14:45 – 22:00) as well as opportunities for additional Casuals who have commitment/availability to pick up at least 3 shifts per week.

These opportunities are not suitable for:

• students with inconsistent availability and/or Visa restrictions
• people already working 3 or more shifts a week with another employer
• people looking for Employer Sponsorship

Provide dedicated leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at Uniting AgeWell – Box Hill

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Provide excellence in nursing care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
• Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses
• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurse
