Job summary

Uniting AgeWell Limited in Melbourne area is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed) for casual shifts at Condare Court, Camberwell, to support residents with dementia, palliative care and complex needs.

You will lead care with Registered Nurses and Personal Care Workers, delivering high-quality, person-centered services in a values-based, not-for-profit organisation that values flexibility and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of ENM and Aged Care experience.
• Flexibility to pick up PM shifts (14:45 - 22:00) across the week.
• Availability to pick up at least 3 shifts per week.
• Reliability and consistency that can be depended upon if you accept shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs.
• Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing.
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes.
• Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
• Promote a harmonious team approach by coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses.

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes

• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)
• Experienced as an EEN in residential aged care/ home care (preferred)
• Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions with all levels of care partners
• Available and committed to work in the above mentioned roster vacancies

Essentials for working in Aged Care:
