Job summary

Canberra Surgicentre is seeking a motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our Day Hospital team in Braddon. The role supports patients through their surgical journey and delivers high-quality perioperative care in a modern setting.

Key duties include bookings, pre-admission checks, pre-operative information, theatre assistance, instrument sterilisation and infection control. Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm, no weekends or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Enrolled Nurse and AHPRA registered.
• Experience in theatre, day surgery, dental, or perioperative settings is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient surgery bookings and scheduling.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments and patient checks.
• Provide pre-operative information and support to patients.
• Assist within the operating theatre environment (scouting).
• Process and sterilise reusable medical instruments.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.

Enrolled Nurse | Day Hospital

Braddon, ACT

Canberra Surgicentre is seeking a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our specialist Day Hospital team in Braddon.

Our accredited Day Hospital provides a range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including complex wisdom tooth removals, dental extractions, dental implant surgery, and other minor oral surgical procedures. Surgeries are performed under IV sedation and general anaesthetic in a modern, patient-focused environment.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing patient surgery bookings and scheduling
• Conducting pre-admission assessments and patient checks
• Providing pre-operative patient information and support
• Assisting within the operating theatre environment (scouting)
• Processing and sterilising reusable medical instruments
• Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
• Supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care

Working Days- Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm, No weekends or nightshift

Please note, applicants must be a Current Enrolled Nurse and AHPRA registered

Previous experience in theatre, day surgery, dental, or perioperative settings will be highly regarded
