Job summary

Canberra Surgicentre is seeking a motivated Enrolled Nurse to join the Day Hospital team in Braddon, ACT. The role focuses on pre-admission assessments, patient information, and assisting within the operating theatre to support safe, high-quality care.

Applicants must be an enrolled nurse registered with AHPRA and have relevant perioperative experience. Work days are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm, with no weekends or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in theatre, day surgery, dental, or perioperative settings is advantageous.
• Commitment to infection prevention and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Assist in the operating theatre (scouting).
• Manage pre-admission assessments and patient checks.
• Prepare and sterilise reusable instruments and maintain infection control.

Enrolled Nurse | Day Hospital

Braddon, ACT

Canberra Surgicentre is seeking a motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our specialist Day Hospital team in Braddon.

Our accredited Day Hospital provides a range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including complex wisdom tooth removals, dental extractions, dental implant surgery, and other minor oral surgical procedures. Surgeries are performed under IV sedation and general anaesthetic in a modern, patient-focused environment.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing patient surgery bookings and scheduling
• Conducting pre-admission assessments and patient checks
• Providing pre-operative patient information and support
• Assisting within the operating theatre environment (scouting)
• Processing and sterilising reusable medical instruments
• Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
• Supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care

Working Days-

Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm, No weekends or nightshift

Please note, applicants must be a Current Enrolled Nurse and AHPRA registered

Previous experience in theatre, day surgery, dental, or perioperative settings will be highly regarded
