Job summary

Nowra Private Hospital is seeking Enrolled Nurses to join our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis. You will assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care under supervision to maintain a high standard of service.

Essential: AHPRA registration and IV qualification, with recent surgical/acute ward experience. Perioperative or day surgery exposure is preferred, along with strong time management and teamwork skills.

• IV Qualified.
• Recent experience in a surgical / acute medical ward.
• Perioperative or day surgery experience preferred.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

Job description

Nowra Private Hospital is seeking new team members to join our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis. We are looking for Enrolled Nurses to fit in with our ethos of excellent care for every patient. Recent previous experience within either a surgical or acute medical ward is essential, and perioperative and/or day surgery experience is desirable. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, coordination and evaluation of patients.

As an Enrolled Nurse you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered within the unit.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• IV Qualified
• Recent experience in a surgical / acute medical ward

• Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
