Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within Baxter 7, a 32-bed General Medical unit offering care in general medicine, endocrinology and infectious diseases.

You will deliver holistic care, participate in care planning, documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes in a well-supported, inclusive environment.

• Experience in acute setting desirable.

About the role

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-focused, holistic nursing care to support positive clinical outcomes. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the delivery and evaluation of individualised patient care within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

About Baxter 7

Baxter 7 is a 32 bed General Medical unit encompassing general medicine, endocrinology and infectious diseases. The staff are highly-skilled, professional, friendly and dedicated, taking pride in providing high-quality, safe healthcare. University Hospital Geelong is located in the heart of central Geelong, minutes from the picturesque waterfront and a short drive to the Bellarine and Surf Coast.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will play a key role in supporting positive patient outcomes through effective communication, clinical assessment, and care planning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality and consumer-centred nursing care in line with best practice standards
• Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other health professionals to support patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and contribute to quality and safety initiatives

What we're looking for

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
• Minimum 12 months experience as an EN, experience within an acute setting highly desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
• A motivated and compassionate approach, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
