Barwon Health’s McKellar Centre/Alan David Lodge in Geelong seeks an Enrolled Nurse (Level 2) to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents in aged care. You will work with Registered Nurses and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and high-quality care that promotes independence and dignity.

The role offers permanent, temporary and casual opportunities, with five weeks of annual leave, salary packaging, and ongoing salary review periods.

Qualifications

• Current registration as Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Experience in aged care or a strong interest in working with older people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical assessment and time management skills.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
• Monitor residents' health and promptly report changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
• Support residents with their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses, care staff, allied health professionals, residents, and families.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Comply with organisational policies, aged care standards, and infection prevention and control procedures.

About the Role

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to our residents. Alan David Lodge is located on the Surf coast Highway in Charlemont, just a short drive from both the Geelong CBD and coastal surroundings.

This 108-bed facility service offers both residential care and transition care beds, with 74 residential high level care beds and 34 transitional care beds.

Lead by exceptional senior staff who prioritise holistic patient care and the continued education and development of their staff.

Located within Barwon Health's McKellar Centre in North Geelong, Blakiston Lodge is a caring and supportive home for people living with dementia and mental illness. We create a safe, respectful environment where residents receive high-quality nursing, medical, and psychiatric care tailored to their individual needs.

Our 90-bed residential aged care facility features three specialised wings:

• Oak Wing - offering dedicated mental health support for older adults
• Adzen Wing - focused on personalised, dementia-specific care
• Specialist Dementia Care Unit - a modern, purpose-built space supporting residents with more complex cognitive, emotional, or behavioural needs, helping them transition to more suitable and less restrictive living arrangements over time

Located within Barwon Health's McKellar Centre in North Geelong, Wallace Lodge is a modern 108-bed facility featuring spacious design, modern decor, a contemporary colour scheme with natural lighting and connection to the external courtyards.
