GEO Healthcare is recruiting Enrolled Nurses for full-time and part-time night shifts at Ravenhall Correctional Centre. Nurses deliver high-quality care to men in a prison setting, with pro-rata pay for part-time roles and penalties for night shifts.

• Minimum one years of post-registration clinical experience.

• Ability to plan and coordinate patient care.
• Competence in clinical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to contribute to the professional practice within the health facility.
• Competence in written and verbal communication skills. Basic level of computer literacy.
• Clinical experience in a primary health care is desirable.

About the roles

GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public Prisons across Victoria.

Nurses employed by GEO Healthcare work to deliver high-quality patient care to men in Victoria's public prisons. Nurses deliver health services which enhance and promote the health of people in prison through evidence-based, comprehensive and professional nursing care within a prison setting.

Opportunities exist for Full-time and Part Time (Night shift 21:30-7:30) at Ravenhall Correctional Centre.

Nursing Staff will be employed under the terms of an Enterprise Agreement. Terms and conditions provided by this Agreement include:

• Enrolled Nurse salary range $74.5k - $77.4k (Based on Full time) pro-rata amount for Part Time position with penalties for night shift paid in addition to this.
• Annual increments to salary for Enrolled and Registered nurses.
• Competitive Shift and Weekend Allowances.
• Generous annual leave, long service leave and ‘continuing professional development’ leave benefits.

Other Requirements of the role:

• Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.
• Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
• Hold an immunization provider certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining certification
