Job summary

St John Paul II College in Canberra is seeking an English Teacher to inspire a love of language, literature, and communication, delivering curriculum-aligned lessons for a diverse range of learners. You will design and deliver engaging lessons and assess progress to support student growth.

You will collaborate with the English faculty to maintain excellence and participate in Catalyst professional learning, with generous parental leave and student-focused teaching.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education/Teaching or Master of Teaching.
  • WWVP clearance required.
  • TQI registration required.
  • Accreditation per Catholic Education policy.

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. Through thoughtful assessment and feedback, you will monitor student progress, celebrate achievements, and provide targeted support to help every learner reach their potential. Collaborating closely with colleagues, you will contribute to a dynamic English faculty that is committed to excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications And Eligibility

  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
