Job summary

Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood is seeking an English Teacher to inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You will bring English expertise, plus experience in Stage 5 HSIE or Religious Education, to create inclusive and rigorous learning experiences and foster student wellbeing.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Education with NESA accreditation, and a commitment to the school’s values.

As an English Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

• expertise in English, with additional experience in teaching Stage 5 HSIE, Religious Education or other teaching areas advantageous
• strong classroom management and student well-being focus
• ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
• be a confident and collaborative team player and an excellent communicator
• have a commitment to supporting student learning in a unique and innovative learning environment
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
