An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Infrastructure Asset Management as a Plumber. This position is responsible for providing high standard preventative and corrective maintenance services for Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service buildings, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings.
Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all Health Service physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. IAM is staffed with professional, trade operational, and administrative staff. Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, trade assistants and apprentices. The unit is accountable for facility maintenance and asset management in CHHHS and ensures all clinical and administrative buildings are compliant with statutory checks and inspections necessary to comply with Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. IAM provides 24-hour corrective maintenance and breakdown service for the facilities around the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
