Job summary

Queensland Government's Cairns region hospital and health service seeks a Trade Assistant to support maintenance trades across facilities. You will perform general duties under supervision and participate in safety checks to ensure compliant operations.

About us:Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all Health Service physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment.IAM is staffed with professional, trade, operational, and administrative staff. Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, trade assistants and apprentices.The unit is accountable for facility maintenance and asset management in CHHHS and ensures all clinical and administrative buildings are compliant with statutory checks and inspections necessary to comply with Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
