Job summary

Trinity Global Consulting in Australia seeks an experienced CAD Drafter to create, modify and review AutoCAD drawings for shipboard projects. The role requires five years of drafting experience and a current Secret clearance, with readiness to travel for ship checks.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation, SharePoint, and MS Office is expected, along with the ability to translate sketches into precise drawings while following MSC GTR standards.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Minimum five years of drafting experience.
• AutoCAD Drafter Level III or higher qualification.
• Experience with CAD tools such as MicroStation or AutoCAD as designated by the customer.
• High school diploma or GED plus at least three years in a technical data role.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and review AutoCAD drawings for correctness and completeness.
• Create/modify AutoCAD drawings as directed per MSC requirements.
• Support CAD standards and MSC General Technical Requirements.
• Develop and update drawings from sketches provided by Engineers.
• Convert raster drawings to vector drawings.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings/renderings as needed.
• Work with CAD tools such as MicroStation/AutoCAD as designated.
• Assist engineers onboard vessels for ship checks and drawing development.

Job description

Duties May Include:

• Create, Modify and Review AutoCAD drawings for correctness and completeness
• Create and Modify AutoCAD drawings as directed in accordance with MSC Computer
• Aided Designed (CAD) drawing standard and MSC General Technical Requirements(GTRs).
• Ability to develop and update drawings by incorporating sketches, using similar drawings and pictures provided by Engineers
• Convert Raster drawings to Vector drawings.
• Create both 2D and 3D drawings/renderings as needed.
• Experience with CAD tools, such as Micros Station, AutoCAD or other similar tools as designated by the customer
• Ability to accompany engineers onboard vessels for ship checks to help develop drawings

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Have a minimum of five years of prior drafting experience.
• Shall be qualified at AutoCAD Drafter Level III or higher.
• Experience with CAD tools, such as Micros Station, AutoCAD or other similar tools as designated by the customer
• Have a minimum of a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) plus a minimum of three years of prior experience working in a technical library or similar technical data repository to perform the tasks of a Library Technician.
• Have a working knowledge of computer hardware, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
