Job summary

Mable is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Team Lead to join the Mable Platform team. You will lead a cross-functional squad with Design, Data and Product partners to deliver robust, high quality, fit-for-purpose solutions for core business flows.

This role focuses on API development, re-platforming and modern engineering practices. You will mentor engineers, drive trunk-based development, and collaborate with Infrastructure, Principal Engineers and QA to deliver impact.

Qualifications

• Strong API development experience and re-platforming leadership.
• Proven Team Lead with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with testing frameworks and test automation.
• Knowledge of trunk-based development, 12-factor apps, Docker, and monitoring.
• Familiar with design patterns and DDD concepts.
• Excellent communication and team orientation.
• Bias for leaving code better than you found it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality features as part of a cross-functional squad.
• Prioritize backlog with the product manager and break down epics.
• Improve team delivery cadence and efficiency.
• Promote modern engineering practices (TDD, pair programming, branching).
• Mentor squad on tech choices and software design.
• Address non-functional requirements with peers.
• Collaborate on DevOps practices.
• Manage direct reports for at most one squad.
