Job summary

Department of Defence is seeking an APS 6 Professionalisation Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Engineering and Technical Professionalisation Framework, developing Defence's engineering and technical workforce capability.

You will coordinate learning and development initiatives, qualifications, skills and experience frameworks, professional recognition pathways and governance arrangements across the Engineering and Technical Job Family to grow workforce capability.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across Defence, industry and professional bodies.
• Ability to interpret policy, frameworks and workforce information to drive capability outcomes.
• Proven ability to coordinate governance activities and initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for briefs, reports and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Engineering and Technical Professionalisation Framework.
• Assist in the management of the Engineering and Technical Job Family, including position profiles, qualifications, skills and experience requirements and workforce capability initiatives.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and review of professionalisation processes, guidance and governance arrangements.
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives that support engineering and technical workforce capability requirements.
• Support professional recognition and credentialing pathways, including chartership, accreditation and other professional recognition programs.
