Job summary

Delta Electricity at Vales Point Power Station on NSW's Central Coast is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to join the Assets and Engineering team. You will lead asset planning, preventive maintenance, and electrical design enhancements while managing external contracts and large-scale projects.

You will collaborate with specialists across plant areas, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient asset performance, with a 35-hour work week and hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering with practical and theoretical knowledge.
• Experience in electrical equipment in power stations or heavy industry.
• Proven project management from start to finish, within budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage assets to keep equipment and facilities in top condition.
• Develop preventive maintenance systems to address issues proactively.
• Provide technical guidance to teams and other departments.
• Oversee external contracts and lead projects to meet quality, budget and timeline goals.
• Lead electrical protection system design balancing reliability and safety.
• Manage strategic spares and inventory to control costs and ensure availability.
• Ensure asset management activities comply with safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
