Job summary

Sitemate is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering side of a product team in Australia. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you will support the PGM, manage engineers, and ensure work moves from ready to build to shipped with quality and cadence.

The role involves hands-on coding and close collaboration with the Tech Lead, PDM, and other stakeholders. You’ll drive sprint planning, capacity, and performance, while fostering growth and removing blockers.

Qualifications

• Leads software engineering teams with a hands-on approach.
• Collaborates with Product and Design to align on delivery goals.
• Delivers high-quality software with predictable cadences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage sprint capacity, milestones and estimates.
• Track delivery progress and surface risk early to prevent delays.
• Unblock engineers and manage performance and growth of the team.
• Contribute to code and shipping improvements where appropriate.
