Job summary

AEMO, Western Australia’s System Engineering division, seeks an Engineering Manager - Congestion Modelling to lead a specialist team delivering network congestion analysis, capacity planning and engineering governance across WA.

Reporting to the Group Manager, you will shape workforce plans, mentor engineers, manage priorities across multiple workstreams and ensure high standards of technical excellence and risk management in a tightly regulated energy market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading technical or engineering teams in complex environments.
• Strong governance, risk management, and standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team within WA Division.
• Align priorities with business leaders and manage multiple workstreams.
• Develop workforce plans, capability requirements and budget.
• Build engineering capability and address skill gaps.
• Oversee delivery of engineering services and ensure quality.
• Establish governance frameworks and engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership and risk oversight.
