Job summary

ASX is seeking an Engineering Lead for Data & DevOps within the Equities Trading Technology domain. You will lead data pipelines, platform engineering, and DevSecOps across ASX Trade, driving reusable capabilities, automation-first delivery, and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, Cyber Security and Operations to deliver trusted, secure, and highly resilient market infrastructure, shaping engineering standards and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or data engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and developing technical talent.
• Experience operating highly available and resilient technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape Data & Platform engineering teams and DevOps practices.
• Establish and evolve CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and platform engineering capabilities.
• Drive automation of deployment, testing, security controls and operational workflows.
• Promote standardized tooling and reusable framework adoption across teams.
• Ensure platforms meet availability, security, and operational resilience requirements.
