Job summary
Primesteel Fabrications – Burleigh Heads QLD is seeking an experienced Engineering Draftsperson with a strong fabrication background to join our Gold Coast team. The role focuses on producing fabrication, shop and installation drawings using Solidworks, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, with site measurements and coordination with fabrication crews.
You will have a degree in industrial or structural engineering and at least 3 years of drafting experience in metalwork.
Qualifications
- Degree in industrial or structural engineering is required.
- Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in fabrication.
- Strong proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD for 2D/3D drawings.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and site measurements.
Responsibilities
- Produce fabrication, shop, and installation drawings using Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Site measurement and scheduling to fit fabrication and installation timelines.
- Prepare and issue drawings to departments and clients with accuracy.
- Manage procurement procedures to support economical fabrication.
- Collaborate with fabrication team and project managers.
