Job summary

Ministry of Fabrication Pty Ltd – Unanderra NSW is seeking an experienced Drafter / Estimator to join our growing fabrication team. This hands-on role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and taking projects from enquiry through accurate estimating to detailed workshop drawings for structural steel and architectural aluminium.

Ministry of Fabrication Pty Ltd – Unanderra NSW

We are a growing mixed fabrication business specialising in a range of custom metal fabrication and engineering projects. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Drafter / Estimator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands fabrication, can read and interpret technical drawings, and has the ability to take a project from initial enquiry through to accurate estimating and detailed workshop drawings. Our market is high-end construction covering all things structural steel and architectural alluminium. We have a friendly and supportive team, cultural fit is important.

The Role:

Reviewing customer enquiries, plans and specifications

About you:

Punctual and Reliable

Previous experience in fabrication drafting and/or estimating

Strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings

Experience with CAD software

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Good understanding of materials, hardware and fabrication methods

Strong estimating and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs

Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with a workshop team
