Job summary

Reapit is seeking an Engineering Director to lead regional engineering teams across multiple squads in Brisbane. The role focuses on people-first leadership, mentoring engineers, and guiding transitions toward true continuous deployment beyond traditional Scrum ceremonies.

You will be hands-on with your teams, shaping technology strategy, modernising platforms, and balancing delivery with architectural improvements. Brisbane-based; flexible policy and strong leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading and line-managing software engineering teams.
• Hands-on delivery background to guide design decisions.
• Experience managing direct reports from Engineer to Principal.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management for engineers across levels in a flat structure.
• Foster mentorship and growth and coach engineers to develop.
• Lead and modernise engineering culture toward continuous deployment.
• Align roadmaps with product and manage squad planning and resourcing.
• Represent R&D on regional leadership and communicate with stakeholders.
