Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Proven experience delivering web, cloud-native, and integration solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams with a culture of innovation.
• Drive modern software engineering practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and site reliability engineering.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Establish and track engineering health metrics and govern technical designs to enterprise principles.
• Develop workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Coach and mentor engineers across multiple squads in an Agile environment.
• Manage risks while balancing business priorities and engineering sustainability.
• Promote Optus values and an inclusive engineering culture.
