Job summary

GOLD FIELDS invites applications for a Senior Mine Planning role on a FIFO roster from Perth, delivering short- and medium-term open pit plans to hit safety, production and cost targets. The role offers an 8 days on / 6 days off cycle, plus industry-leading benefits.

You'll develop plans, review designs, and coordinate across departments to meet LO M objectives while enjoying a 6% site allowance and incentive bonuses, plus a monthly health-insurance allowance and a $10K referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements in mining.
• Open pit mining experience, preferably in gold.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- to medium-term mine plans that meet objectives and LO M timeframes.
• Review economic evaluations to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Create infrastructure plans and schedules aligned with constraints.
• Provide planning guidance for production schedules across departments.
• Collaborate across teams on key mining projects.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Planning, you will deliver short- and medium-term planning and scheduling for open pit operations to meet safety, production and cost targets aligned with Gruyere's strategic objectives. This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth

What You'll Do

• Develop accurate short to medium term mine plans that support operational objectives and LOM timeframes.
• Review economic evaluations for each mine design completed within the Engineering Team to ensure financial objectives are met under determined cut-off grades
• Create infrastructure plans and schedules aligned with mining interactions and budget constraints
• Providing timely and accurate planning guidance for the delivery of the mining department production schedules.
• Collaborate across departments to support key projects.

What You'll Bring

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining
• Strong open pit engineering experience, ideally in gold with
• Proficiency in MS Office and mining software ( APS or ATS mining software experience.)
• Manual driver's license
