Tailored resume and cover letter, ready to send.
Westpac invites applications for a software/AI engineer within the Credit Risk Limits squad in Sydney. You’ll work across Murex and Calypso, building AI-enabled tools to automate investigations, data quality checks and testing in credit risk platforms.
You’ll own end-to-end delivery, from design to release, while learning credit risk concepts and collaborating with Front Office, Tech and vendors in a hands-on engineering role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Credit Risk Limits team without needing deep credit risk domain knowledge. It gives you the chance to build that experience while working across modern engineering, AI and Financial Markets technology.
The role sits within the Credit Risk Limits squad in the Trusted Markets Release Train, supporting Westpac Institutional Bank’s Financial Markets business.
You’ll work across counterparty and pre-settlement credit risk technology, including limits management, reporting and trading platforms such as Murex and Calypso.
It’s a hands-on engineering role where you’ll have end-to-end ownership across design, development, automated testing, release and production support.
AI engineering is a key part of the role. You’ll build AI-enabled tools and agents to improve how the team investigates issues, tests solutions, reconciles data and operates its credit risk platforms.
You don’t need to be a credit risk expert or have extensive experience building AI agents. They’re looking for someone who is curious, self-motivated and comfortable learning by doing, with the opportunity to build your credit risk knowledge as you develop in the role.
