About you

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Enforcement Officer to join our team at the Yackandandah Library & Offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, maintaining public safety, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

You will:

• Enforce local laws and regulations effectively and impartially.
• Conduct investigations and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
• Issue warnings, notices, and citations for violations as necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and other agencies to coordinate enforcement activities.
• Provide information and education to the public regarding compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in law enforcement, compliance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
